I build thoughtful software and capture honest moments.

I'm Ivan Salo — a developer and photographer. I build digital products and visual stories with the same attention to detail. In code, I value clarity and thoughtful architecture; in photography — light, atmosphere and honest moments.

About

Code, light, and the space in between.

I'm a developer and photographer. Programming gives me structure; photography gives me perspective. Both teach me to notice details, look for simple solutions and treat what I make with care.

A little more

Engineering

I work across every layer of development — from individual details to complete systems. What matters to me is that the result isn't just functional, but also reliable, secure, fast and easy to maintain.

I like getting to the bottom of complex things and finding simple solutions for them. No extra complexity where it can be avoided.

Photography

Portraits and nature are what I love most. In photography I care about light, atmosphere and real emotion.

I don't try to make every frame perfect — it matters more to me that it feels alive and real.

Approach

Curiosity over trends.

I enjoy learning, experimenting and gradually improving whatever I'm working on. Try, simplify, see it through — and then look at what could be done even better.

I don't like talking much about my own skills. I'd rather let the work speak for them.

I simply try to do what I love well, stay open to new things and never stop learning.

Have an idea worth building?

I’m open to collaborating on web products and photography projects. I’d be happy to create something together.
